Born: New York, 1945. Since 1946 lives in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico. Education: M.A. University of Missouri-Columbia, Missouri, USA, 1970. B.A. University of Puerto Rico, Recinto Universitario de Mayagüez, Mayagüez, Puerto Rico. Interamerican University, Art Department, (36 credits in art) San Germán, Puerto Rico 1967-1968. My recent research on the Greek myth of Poseidon inspired a new series of paintings based on the concept of the creation of individual characters and personalities among 80 names of the nymphs – “Las Nercidas”. I evoke their presence at our coasts, beaches, reefs of corals and all life forms at the Caribbean Sea-  a with there virtual and strengths. The painting also are a metamorphosis of our seashore environments and reflects among ourselves in confrontation to our daily struggle of self- identity as a nation.
